Chaakri is Sa-Ni-Sa’s first brand. It was launched in 2005 to promote the
sale of home-made delicacies. Chaakri signifies ‘seva’ and ‘service’
in the Hindi language. Under brand Chaakri, Sa-Ni-Sa aims to promote entrepreneurship
for women who specialize in products that taste like home-made food.
Starting with a single type of Khakhra, Sa-Ni-Sa has today expanded the product
range to include a wide variety of khakhras and a few other food items that retail
at high-end stores and supermarkets across the country.
All the products for Chaakri are made by trained rural women in Sudhagad district,
Maharashtra. Sa-Ni-Sa adheres to stringent quality assurance processes at its manufacturing
facility. Lab testing is done to ensure quality and the product range is compliant
with the statutory food grade packaging norms and licensing requirements.
Health being a primary concern, the products are made with minimum use of oil and
ghee, making them low-fat, low-calorie and nutritious. The biggest testimonial for
quality of Chaakri products is that India’s leading hospitals including The
Asian Heart Institute and Jupiter Multi-specialty Hospital have included our products
in their diet for patients.
