A commerce graduate, Mr. Pranlal Gangji Mehta is a successful businessman with a compassionate heart, a rare combination in this day and age. He has focused his efforts on socially-inclusive and community-oriented businesses run by religious and community support groups in his hometown, Jabalpur. He has been at the helm of the Jabalpur branch of Lijjat Papad, a hugely-successful women’s self-help group. Mr. Mehta has also been a member of various committees of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industries (FICCI).
Mr. Mehta has garnered a lot of appreciation and respectability, especially in the Jain community, for his altruistic nature and sincere dedication to community-welfare activities. He founded the Jain temple at Jabalpur and has pioneered many philanthropic initiatives. He has held the post of Secretary General of the Mahakoshal Chamber of Commerce & Industry and President of the Sankheshwar Parshwa Jain Sangh of Madhya Pradesh, the Kutchi Visha Oswal Jain Sangh and the Nagpur Road Vyapari Sangh.
